In the 1st display of an image, a text box
shows the wording "Roads". If you click
on it, a list of streets corresponding to the image appears, what is faster
than by using the Streets
Menu. The text box shows then the wording of the zone (naval battle
style: 'Y29') matching the 1st street of the list.
Then, all further click
on the text box will show the next street of the list in the image.
Go quickly to a street by entering its first letters : the colour of the list
mauve at first, changes to green,
brown, blue, red,
and black indicating the position of typing.. 'Space'
moves back one position and 'BackSpace'
initializes typing.. 'Home' and 'End'
lead you at the beginning or at the end of list.
A click
on the street name
displays the name of the zone. You can also copy / paste a street name by
right click
=> pop-up menu.
A double
click on the street name or 'Enter'
loads the picture containing the matching zone and underlines the street in
red.
When the name of a zone is preceded by 2 points (:),
it means that the street is in a suburb. Those of Bordeaux are preceded by an
asterisk (*) ; the is then marked with a circle at one end to indicate
the beginning of the numbering of the road.
The name of the way and its length are displayed in the title bar.
The plus sign (+) before the name
of a zone indicates vectorial pictures. Contrary to bitmap images, this
kind of pictures, when resized, can keep their sharpness (scalable fonts are
a good example of it). However, big images are longer to display.
A right click
on the name of a zone displays / hides the
streets list and toggles also the twinkling of
the => Example.
A double
click on the name of a zone moves
the list to the left of the screen and its contents is then limited to the streets
of the zone matching the current street. This feature is very useful to make
an automatic "round trip of the zone" (see the Streets
Menu).
