Sir

In my letter of the 25-9-99, I asked you to take the 'necessary steps' in order to stop some of the employees of the estate to bully the seasonal grape pickers.
Mr. J.B. DELMAS, the 13th Oct., answered me that he "will not miss to keep me posted" about the inquiry he carried out.
He did not do so, and did not inform me of the results of the 'slanted' questionnaire sent to the grape pickers.
It seems however that the facts I have exposed were - at least partially - confirmed, because he asks me - the 3rd-2-2000 - "relevant documents of damage that I consider to have suffered.".

I answered him - the 7th Feb. - that he had first to keep his word to inform me and should tell me the measures he will take. The 17-2, he limits the information he is supposed to give me to the results of the questionnaire, then he justifies to hide them because they are private and confidential.
Now, I do not ask to break the privacy of this correspondence, I just want :

If you do not answer or if you refuse to impart me these data, your personal liability in the exercise of your duties would be involved, and if the matter was to come to Court, your hierarchical subordination towards Mr . DELMAS would not exempt you from it.

Wishing that you show some sign of your willingness to contribute to a gentleman's agreement, would you please send me the required information as soon as possible.
